My Message To The Saudi Teenager Rahaf Mohammed Al-Qunun
Ever since the Saudi Teenager Rahaf Mohammed Al-Qunun escaped her parents and her life in Saudi and managed to get asylum status in Canada, the social media and news media landscape has been a buzz with regards to her. Some people have called her an inspiration, some others have called her a shame. And then there are those theories that people give where they have strange allegations like she is a spy or that this is all an act. And yes - it is all thanks to Justin Trudeau's government and Canada.
However, the major brunt of the criticism or debate has been how Rahaf Mohammed Al-Qunun has started to enjoy freedom but while going a bit overboard right in the beginning. It all started with her showing off her new found First Class travel status to Canada followed by her tweet about drinking wine. And then the next was her Social Media post of her eating pork which is considered forbidden in her religion. And before you know it - she was smoking weed. Now all this has resulted in backlash. Some people have called her immature, young and an attention seeker while others have stated this is totally inappropriate.
