Silent Tumors: A Documentary on Fibroids
Silent Tumors is a documentary that addresses the fibroid epidemic. Fibroids are non cancerous tumors that develop in the uterus during a woman’s childbearing years (and beyond). This is a condition that affects 23% of black women before the age of 25.
Many of the symptoms are things that have been normalized. This documentary will shed more light on symptoms and treatments, demystify myths and perceptions, and most importantly break the silence culture.
