Game-Changer for Controllers: "Quick Weapon" Deep dive (Fortnite)
Faster, Smoother, Deadlier: Fortnite's "Quick Weapon" Action for Controller!!!
In this video I will be showcasing the new "QUICK WEAPON" Action that was added in Fortnite.
QUICK WEAPON is a new setting that is intended for Controller Players and the whole purpose for adding it to allow you to quickly switch between any item slots in the order you like.
In summary:
1. "NONE": This means that every time you want to switch from one weapon to another you would need to confirm by pressing its' associated button - "SQUARE" for SMG, "TRIANGLE" for SNIPER, "CIRCLE" for SHOCKWAVE LAUNCHER, "X" for AR. This one doesn't seem to be a good option due to how fast paced FAORNITE games are. You may feel a delay and end up messing up those buttons.
2. "SLOT 2": This allows you to choose 2 WEAPONS as your primary and it’s going to SWITCH BETWEEN them EVERYTIME YOU PRESS R1. If you then want to move to another item, click R1 to open the QUICK WEAPON Diamond screen and simply select the associated button. THIS is super useful since it's allowing you to easily toggle between your main 2 weapons which is critical in heated fights. And then you can easily switch to some other weapon when you need to.
3. "PREVIOUSLY EQUIPED ITEM": The way this works is that pressing R1 will toggle you between your primary slot and whichever you had previously equipped. So, comparing this to "SLOT 2" option, this one doesn't switch between your primary 2 slots but between your primary and the one you had previously selected. I hope that makes since.
