This episode features Andrew Adeniyi. He described why small business leaders need to have an effective diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. Diversity is the presence of differences within a given setting.

Within the workplace, we explained how those difference can be race, gender, age, and socioeconomic classes. Andrew highlighted how the challenges with diversity in the workplace is the bias that can be formed. Whether it's racial, gender, or even disability bias.

It's important for business leaders to create an equitable and inclusion environment. Where everyone is treated fair and has equal possible outcomes for success.

As well as ensuring people to feel a sense of belonging in the workplace. This in result helps employee's feel comfortable and supported by the organization when it comes to being their authentic selves.

We discussed the future of work and the occupations that will shift by 2030. Requiring those to have more technical or management skills that will be more in demand.

Andrew also talked on the challenges with the underrepresentation with men and women of color in higher wage occupations. As well as senior positions and executive level opportunities in the workforce.
