Cotton Gyre
3D stereo video with stereo sound, 2022.
Cotton Gyre proceeds in a slow entropic motion. Its imagery shaped by a cascade of dialogic prompts directed at destabilizing the course of the emerging flow - bridging the pedestrian with the cosmic. The visuals were realized using open-source latent space image generation software deploying generative adversarial networks (GANs). The prompts were processed by an LLM trained on a broad spectrum of internet-sourced news images. This 2D iteration adapts the original work—a projection mapped onto a sculptural wall relief—There's also a portable format for an auto-stereoscopic 3D monitor.
