Big kick drums are a staple of modern dance music. This is especially true in my preferred genre (Hard Trance), where big kick drums are an absolute must!
As the kick is arguably the most important part of your track it is important that it sounds good. A weak kick can leave a mix lacking in energy and can ruin an otherwise good track, but big kick drums that fit perfectly can drive a track and keep listeners interested.
But can you get the same results from Freeware compared to the paid offerings, and can you get good results fast? This video seeks to find the best VST plugin for getting those big kick drums into your productions.
To do this I reviewed 2 VST options that can be found and installed easily and tested them on the Kick from my Hard Trance Template.
