Hook punches come in many different forms. For example, what works against a tight hook punch may not work against a wide hook punch.
This short video shows only ONE possible reaction to a wide hook punch, usually from a drunken/unskilled opponent. A skilled opponent's hook punch will be much tighter and require a much different defense.
