Vectors as a Function of Time - Paths Colliding and Crossing
Unit 3 Topic 2 - examine the position of two particles, each described as a vector function of time, and determine if their paths cross or if the particles meet
In this lesson I teach students how to determine if two vectors, both represented as functions of time, collide. I also show students how to use multiple time variables to determine whether the paths of the particles cross, even if they don't collide.
We also have a brief discussion about vector calculus and projectile motion.
