Go Kart Brothers Episode 45 — Our Final Episode
Episode 45 of Go Kart Brothers.
At the time of recording, we didn’t know this would be our final episode.
Brent, Shannon, and Steve talk about games like Ingress and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, joke around, and do what we always did; hang out and talk about whatever was on our minds. Nothing about this episode was meant as a farewell.
Shortly after recording, Steve’s health declined rapidly as he battled small bowel cancer. We made the decision to pause the show until he felt well enough to return. That moment never came. Steve passed away in early 2019.
In the years since, we’ve also lost Brent.
We were never emotionally able to record a formal goodbye episode. Instead, this episode remains — not as an ending we planned, but as a snapshot of friendship, shared interests, and time spent together doing something we loved.
This is not a goodbye episode.
It’s simply the last one.
Thank you to everyone who listened, supported us, laughed with us, and shared this space with us.
This episode is shared in memory of Steve and Brent, with love.
During Steve’s illness, a GoFundMe was created to help with treatment expenses. It is preserved here as part of his story: https://www.gofundme.com/f/2h2dng-ste...
