How long: They were together for almost six years.
Surprise split? There were rumours the couple was going to split.
She said: "If I'm not married, I'm single."
The end: Katrina has kept mum on both the relationship and her split. Salman, the more vocal of the two told news channels in August that have broken up and grown apart.
The spin: "We were friends then, we are friends now." She is still known to visit him frequently.
On the rebound? No one yet for Salman, Katrina though is known to be rather close to actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Surprise split? Not really, his mother Maureen Wadia's displeasure at the relationship was never hidden.

Who: Former Indian cricket team captain and current MP, 47, and his less successful former Bollywood starlet, 48.
How long: A 14- year old marriage.
Surprise split? Yes, no one July saw it coming.
Courtney Cox & David Arquette
Who: Former Friends star, 46, and her actor husband, 39.
How long: Married for 11 years after meeting on the set of Scream in 1996.
Surprise split? Hardly. They started having therapy when they got engaged. Cox said: "I'd heard that the first year of marriage is the hardest, so we decided to work through all that stuff early."
She said: 'Before he moved in, David would say: "How are we ever going to meld together, because our tastes are so different?" Maybe it's because we're truly in love that we can.'
