Dominica is the only place in the world known to us where even amateurs, who are not scientists or journalists, are allowed to swim with sperm whales. Swimming with sperm whales is regulated by the government in Dominica and is commercialized through permits.

Wir waren vom 4. bis zum 14. Februar 2024 auf der Karibikinsel Dominica zum Schwimmen mit Pottwalen. Dominica ist der einzige uns bekannte Ort auf der Welt, an dem es auch Laien, die keine Wissenschaftler oder Journalisten sind, gestattet ist mit Pottwalen zu schwimmen. Das Schwimmen mit Pottwalen ist auf Dominica staatlich geregelt und wird durch Permits kommerzialisiert.
