The all-new 2025 Kia EV3 is here, and it's set to revolutionize the electric crossover market. This stylish and well-equipped vehicle offers an impressive range, cutting-edge technology, and a comfortable driving experience, all at a price that won't break the bank.
Starting at just £32,995, the EV3 is priced competitively with the Volkswagen Golf, but it offers so much more. The base Air trim comes with a 58kWh battery, providing a range of 267 miles, while an additional £3,000 gets you an 81kWh battery and an extended range of 372 miles. At £35,995, this variant is the sweet spot
in the EV3 lineup.
The EV3's bold exterior design takes inspiration from the larger Kia EV9, resulting in a head-turning and instantly recognizable appearance. Built on a scaled-down version of the advanced E-GMP architecture, the EV3 boasts a sleek body with a 0.26Cd drag coefficient and a host of hidden eco-friendly features.
Step inside the EV3, and you'll find a spacious and thoughtfully designed interior with ample legroom, a low center tunnel, and numerous storage areas. The 460-liter boot and 25-liter 'frunk' provide plenty of space for all your cargo needs. The high-quality materials and ambient lighting create a premium feel, while the advanced infotainment system keeps you connected and entertained on the go.
Under the hood, a single front-mounted motor delivers 201bhp and 209lb ft of torque, providing a perfect balance of performance and efficiency. The EV3's compact dimensions and advanced i-Pedal system, with four levels of regenerative braking, make it a joy to drive in both urban and highway environments.
During our test drive, the EV3 proved to be a comfortable and composed vehicle, with well-weighted controls and a soft, yet stable ride. The car's remarkable efficiency, returning 4.7 miles per kWh, places it in the same league as top-tier electric vehicles like Tesla and Lucid.
The EV3's Air trim comes generously equipped with features such as heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a comprehensive suite of active safety features, making it the most popular choice among buyers. While its peak 128kW charging speed may not match some of its rivals, the EV3's overall range and efficiency more than make up for it.
