In this video we can see the prosthetic steps of a dental implant placement.
During the second visit, the cover screw is removed, implant is exposed followed by placing of closed Tray Impression coping.
The impression coping is screwed down to the internal hex of the implant fixture followed by placement of cotton pellet or temporary cement (ZOE) or teflon pellet over the screw head.
then closed Tray Impression is taken using silicon based impression material.
After that the coping is removed and gingival former or gingival abutment is screwed to implant fixture for next 2 weeks to achieve proper emergence profile of the prosthesis.
For the time being the impression is sent to the lab along with coping and lab analog.
On third visit, the gingival former is removed and implant Prosthesis abutment is fixed to implant fixture. The abutment can be either custom made or preformed. Followed by this the fabricated crown is fixed to the abutment using cement. (for screw retained crowns). Resin reinforced GIC is used for final cementation.
