Hello everyone in self-isolation and beyond! I'm still with you, Klepachevsky, and this time we're talking about a topic that's been bothering many tuning enthusiasts: body rigidity!

What is body rigidity? It's not the jaw-dropping suspension of your street car, nor the over-tightened coilovers and polyurethane control arms that have been replaced with steel CV joints! It's the rigidity of the body, the chassis of your car. Because if it lacks structural strength, even the most expensive and perfectly designed suspension will still flex where the chassis should be soft and subtle! And we won't gain any benefit from tuning the chassis.
This time, we're in the workshop of Moskovia, a company whose welded frames anyone with even the slightest interest in motorsports has already heard of. Today's topics are as simple and old as the world of car tuning itself:
struts—are they worth installing, and which ones?
Bolted cages
Welded homologated cages
Body reinforcement with welding and riveting
What's wrong with convertibles, and how much rigidity they lose compared to their "roofed" counterparts?
I tried to cover all of this and more in this issue. :)
Don't be bored during self-isolation, if you're in one, and enjoy!
