Blockers - Movie Review & Rant
3 parents attempt to block their 3 daughters from having sex on Prom Night. Blockers admits its premise is a sexist double-standard. I watched it for its premise. Am I the bad guy? Ranting ensues. Why not just make the movie about 3 high-school ladies wanting to lose their virginity on Prom Night, if that's what the filmmakers wanted? Beats me! Can Blockers balance over-the-top gross-out gags, sincere drama, and a realistic high school girl's perspective? Or does it drag and underdeliver on both the adults' and the girls' storylines?
