Part 1 - Drafting tools that u must buy in Architecture, and also some rubbish that u may avoid.
A lot of young architecture students always wonder what kind of architecture tools they should buy as they are always an endless amount of stuff on the rack that seems logical to buy. But nope! As a graduate architect, i feel like i am obliged to share some tips of tricks of tools and equipment that u must buy and avoid buying rubbish that u would never use.
p.s. These are merely based on my notorious experience and perception, u may also purchase anything u like. U do u!
Basic drafting tools to buy in architecture
1. Butter paper pad or roll (white)
2. T-square (at least 90cm)
3. Set square (big ones)
4. Artline pen set
5. Staedler pencil set
6. Artline marker pen (primary colors)
7. Tracing paper
8. Portfolio bag (at least A2)
Avoid buying these tools
1. Technical Pen
2. Small tools (set square and T-square)
3. Adjustable set square
4. French Curve
5. Sharpie
6. Drawing Board
