My students spent three class periods learning about animated cartoons and actually creating a short sequence themselves. Each child tried to create ten separate drawings that that were then scanned into the computer and looped from start to finish (twice). The images were each shown for about three frames (or roughly 1/10th of a second)
Through this process each child learned a significant amount about the animation process.
