Tesla's Full Self Driving Beta Has Issues, and Scared the Living Crap Out of Me
A wholesaler friend of mine recently took in this 2018 Tesla Model X P100D with lots of options, including the pretty expensive FSD (Full Self Driving) Beta program. He suggested I give it a go for a video, and I figured "why the hell not?"
Didn't go the way I thought at all. Having heard about autonomous driving cars for some time, I figured a system like this would be much more dialed in than it is. I certainly didn't expect it to blow by a stopped and flashing school bus, stop at green lights, or make late and unpredictable lane changes.
For the moment, I'm very happy to remain analog, and keep full control of the car I'm driving.
