An eleven-day journey took forty years. That single detail, buried in verse 2 of Deuteronomy, changes everything about how you hear this book. Moses is 120 years old, he knows he will not cross the Jordan, and he has one last chance to speak. What he says is one of the most layered, personal, and prophetic documents in all of Scripture.

Deuteronomy is not simply a legal code or a list of rules. It is a dying man's sermon to a generation that never stood at Sinai. Moses retells the story, restates the laws, warns about the dangers of prosperity, and plants a promise so far-reaching that it would take centuries to fully understand. At its heart is one command that Jesus Himself would later call the greatest commandment of all.

This video walks through the entire book of Deuteronomy from the eleven-day gap to the death of Moses on Mount Nebo. We explore the Shema, the suzerainty treaty structure, the laws that protect the powerless, and the stunning promise of a circumcised heart in chapter 30. And we trace how Deuteronomy becomes the playbook Jesus draws from in the wilderness when Satan comes to tempt Him.

The book ends with an open sentence. No prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face. That sentence waited centuries for an answer.

📖 MEMORY VERSE
"Hear, O Israel. The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6.4-5 (NKJV)
