#Editing bitmaps with Corel PHOTO-PAINT
You can access Corel PHOTO-PAINT, a complete image-editing application, from within CorelDRAW. When you finish editing a bitmap, you can quickly resume your work with CorelDRAW.
To send a bitmap to Corel PHOTO-PAINT, you can click the Edit bitmap button on the property bar, or you can use the Edit bitmap command from the Bitmaps menu. You can also enable an option that lets you access Corel PHOTO-PAINT by double-clicking a bitmap.
You can copy selected objects from Corel PHOTO-PAINT and then paste them into your drawing. The selected objects are pasted as a group of bitmaps.
For more information about editing images with Corel PHOTO-PAINT, click Help Product help from the Corel PHOTO-PAINT menu bar.
To edit a bitmap with Corel PHOTO-PAINT
1 . Using the Pick tool , select the bitmap that you want to edit.
2 . On the property bar, click Edit bitmap to start Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
The selected bitmap is displayed in the image window of Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
3 . Edit the bitmap.
4 . On the standard toolbar, click Finish editing to quit Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
The edited bitmap appears on the drawing page of CorelDRAW.
You can also use this procedure to edit groups of bitmaps. Corel PHOTO-PAINT opens the group of bitmaps as separate objects. If the bitmaps in the group have different color modes, you are prompted to change the color mode of all bitmaps in the group to the color mode of the bottom-most bitmap.
You can also open Corel PHOTO-PAINT by clicking Bitmaps Edit bitmaps.
To access Corel PHOTO-PAINT by double-clicking a bitmap
1 . Click Tools Options.
2 . In the Workspace list of categories, click Edit.
3 . On the Edit page, enable the Double-click to edit bitmaps in PHOTO-PAINT check box.
Enabling this check box lets you access Corel PHOTO-PAINT by double-clicking the bitmap in CorelDRAW

3D Effects_
Lets you create the illusion of depth. Effects include 3-D rotate, Bevel effect (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Cylinder, Emboss, Glass (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Page curl, Pinch/punch, Sphere, The Boss (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), and Zig zag (Corel PHOTO-PAINT).
Art Strokes_
Lets you apply hand-painted techniques. Effects include Charcoal, Conte crayon, Crayon, Cubist, Dabble (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Impressionist, Palette knife, Pastels, Pen and ink, Pointillist, Scraperboard, Sketch pad, Watercolor, Water marker, and Wave paper.
Blur_
Lets you blur an image to simulate movement, speckling, or gradual change. Effects include Tune blur (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Directional smooth, Gaussian blur, Jaggy despeckle, Low pass, Motion blur, Radial blur, Bokeh blur (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Smooth, Soften, Zoom, and Smart blur (Corel PHOTO-PAINT).
Camera_Lets you simulate effects produced by various camera lenses. Effects include Colorize, Diffuse, Lens flare (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Lighting effects (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), Photo filter, Sepia toning, Spot filter (Corel PHOTO-PAINT), and Time machine, which lets you walk your image back through history to recreate some popular photographic styles from the past.
Color Transform_
Lets you create photographic illusions by using color reduction and replacements. Effects include Bit planes, Halftone, Psychedelic, and Solarize.
Contour_
Lets you highlight and enhance the edges of an image. Effects include Edge detect, Find edges, and Trace contour.
Creative_
Lets you apply various textures and shapes to an image. Effects include Crystalize, Fabric, Frame, Glass block, Mosaic, Scatter, Smoked glass, Stained glass, Vignette, and Vortex.

Lets you add a sharpening effect to focus and enhance edges. Effects include Adaptive unsharp, Directional sharpen, High pass, Sharpen, and Unsharp mask.
Texture_
Lets you add texture to an image by simulating a variety of surfaces, such as cobblestone, elephant skin, plastic, and relief sculpture. Effects include Brick wall .
Plug-ins_
ets you use a third-party filter to apply effects to bitmaps in CorelDRAW.
