One of my greatest joys in life is teaching, and with the privilege of being home for an extended holiday break this year, I thought it would be fun to celebrate the joys of teaching with my family.

The night began with Daddy Lai teaching us the pride of his career: how to hand-tie sutures at 60 kpm (knots per minute 😂). Then, Mommy taught us some Spanish she had learned in her medical training and in Bolivia doing medical missionary work. Next, I taught everyone how to make origami stars (fun fact: I had an origami business in middle school where I sold my work for $1/piece). Grandma is a talented handicrafter (she first taught me to make origami) and showed us how to crochet a flower (in under 5 minutes!) Grandpa, a retired Chinese medicine doctor, gave us a tutorial through the body's major acupressure points so we could give better massages :P And finally, my talented sister taught everyone a TikTok dance.

Thanks to my sister, Sherry, for editing and sound design (it took her many hours)...Sorry for the weird colors, we're still learning videography stuff. And sorry to those who don't speak Mandarin for the lack of subtitles/translations towards the end! We didn't really understand Grandpa's medical Chinese ourselves 😅
