How to copy a layer in Photoshop?
There are a few ways to copy a layer in Photoshop, depending on whether you want to copy it within the same document or to a different one:
Copying within the same document:
1. Using the Layers panel:
In the Layers panel, right-click on the layer you want to copy.
Select "Duplicate Layer" from the menu. This will create a copy of the layer with the same name followed by " copy" at the end.
2. Using keyboard shortcuts:
Hold Option (Mac) or Alt (PC) and drag the layer: This will create a copy of the layer and let you position it where you want.
Select the layer, then press Command (Mac) or Control (PC) + C to copy. Navigate to the desired location in the Layers panel and press Command (Mac) or Control (PC) + V to paste the layer. You can use Shift + Command/Control + V to paste the layer in place.
3. Using the "Layer" Menu:
After selecting your desired layer from the Layers panel, go to the "Layer" menu at the top of the Photoshop screen.
Choose the "Duplicate Layer" option.
In the opened window, you can specify the name and destination of the copied layer.
Finally, click on the "OK" button.
