PIX11 NEWS: The Atrium at Sumner Opens in Brooklyn
A new building in Brooklyn, The Atrium at Sumner, offers 100% affordable housing for older adults, with 190 units, including 33 set aside for @nycha residents.
The building stands in the NYCHA Sumner Houses development as a valuable resource for the current and future community. The project generated funds for NYCHA to make improvements on existing buildings.
Located on Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant, The Atrium at Sumner is designed by the renowned architecture group Studio Libeskind. Mayor Eric Adams led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating the efforts of the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development @nychpd, #NYCHA, and the NYC Housing Development Corporation.
