Phillip Sear plays a 1965 valse lente by the British pianist, composer and arranger, Tony Lowry (1888–1976).

Tony Lowry (a pseudonym) worked for some years as arranger for the British bandleader Henry Hall. He achieved some fame in the 1940s and '50s as half of the piano duo “Lowry and Richardson—Four Hands in Harmony” (Clive Richardson is perhaps best remembered as the composer of the 'London Fantasia'). I can't verify this, but a viewer believes that Tony Lowry was actually Alexander Ludwig Lowy, born 5 March 1888, Wimbledon, and died 29 Feb 1976, Paddington.
Lowry published a couple of pieces with female names as titles in the 1940s, but this piece was written in 1965 for the late wife of a viewer. It was never published, and I am playing from the manuscript.
