Elektra burns
In my beloved Caborca, nothing's happening!!
But Elektra is burning...
In Heroica Caborca, April 9, 2024. At approximately 8:25 a.m., a fire was reported at an Elektra store.
A transformer owned by the company that supplies the store caught fire on the store's roof, causing a fire in an emergency diesel-powered generator.
The store's structure suffered damage, in the highest part of the roof on the left side.
Workers began arriving at the scene, clearly concerned, but they didn't care when they were informed they had the day off.
We must thank the volunteer firefighters, municipal police, PESP (Public Health Service), Oomapas, the Red Cross, civil protection, the Federal Electricity Commission, and everyone from the city council who stepped up, as well as Mayor Abraham "El Cubano" Mier, who was on the lookout.
At this time, no injuries have been reported.
