Plot: MIMIC follows a lightbulb headed creation in an apocalyptic wasteland that originally was a city. The lightbulb creature meets a plague doctor mask creature who brings him to a hideout, hidden away from the alien entities outside. Upon entering the hideout, the plague doctor mask creation falls unconscious and awakes in a dream on the staircase in the ocean. The mask creation finds his dream merging too close with reality and wakes. The two creations are out looking for materials when lightbulb gets a vision of a broken bulb intruder entering the hideout, upon seeing this, his lightbulb flickers and the mask creation takes it as a sign that the alien is near. The two retreat back to the hideout and mask creation is pricked by an infected vine, sending him back into his dream on the staircase. As lightbulb waits patiently for the plague doctor mask creation to wake again, the broken bulb creation pulls open the door to the hideout but retreats shortly after, lightbulb follows him, leaving the mask creation alone. Meanwhile in mask creation's dream, he stands on the edge of the staircase looking out at the ocean as a vine shoots up and pulls him down into the water, waking him up in the hideout to see the broken bulb entering yet again. After falling into the infected dream ocean, the plague doctor mask creation finds himself under the control of the alien and is forced to murder the broken bulb against his own will. Once the deed is done, mask creation exits the hideout to see the alien in the shape of a massive, distorted broken bulb creation covered in vines and abstract shapes. Lightbulb creation suffers on the ground next to him as his bulb continuously flickers and sparks. Mask creation takes off his plague doctor mask revealing himself to be broken bulb. The alien entity launches vines at the broken bulb creation, claiming it as its new host and visually mimics him. The cosmic transfer begins, taking all different versions of broken bulb/mask creation, the dream ones included, into a power surge which shatters lightbulb creation's bulb head and awakens broken bulb back in his dream. Broken bulb sinks down in the water under the staircase and makes contact with his creator, sending him further down until he falls from the sky back onto the staircase above with nothing but himself. His backpack, clothes, and other finds are all lost. Meanwhile in reality lightbulb creation grabs his bulb to find it shattered, revealing him to also be broken bulb. He gets up and runs to the hideout, opening the door whilst unknowingly opening two different realities... (read the rest on IMDB, link below)
