Don't give up easily when it comes to learning, and teaching how to draw.

This mini series is inspired by my own experience being a part-time art teacher for small children. There will be another lesson to come. Hope you'll enjoy it! :)

===========================

When I first applied to be an art teacher at the art studio where I used to attend classes, they showed me some teaching materials, and I was like: "Oh yeah these are easy to draw, no problem!"

...Never been so wrong in my whole life.
They may be easy for ME to draw, but not for the CHILDREN.

For the younger ones, you can still excuse it as they're still young, their parents probably sent them here to pass the time or they have no interest in drawing at all.

But for the older students, they came here to improve, their parents paid us to teach them, and when you failed to do that, it really gives you a sense of defeat...

That is when I realize teaching is much harder than I thought, also why teachers go through trainings, and why Early Childhood is a uni course.

I thought of quitting after merely two months, maybe I'm not fit for teaching, but I didn't want to give up just yet, so I continued teaching for two years before getting my current job :)
