Chichén Itzá Through An Indigenous Lens: Uncovering Forgotten Narratives
Recordings of our tour guide from a trip to Chichén Itzá early June 2020. He provided knowledge from an indigenous Mayan perspective, revealing things that I hadn't read about or found online before.
It was fascinating to learn from him, because his explanations gave some very practical reasons as to why why certain things were built the way that they were.
He also removed a lot of the romanticism and misinterpretations from the West.
