here is how I clean my clear view lid on my Monument Grills Denali 425.
First, i start with a damp rag and water while the grill is still warm from cooking.
If I need to use some glass cleaner, I will, and then a magic eraser usually finishes teh job, and brings back the sparkle to my Monument Grills Clear view lid.
