COLOR THEORY Q/A Art tutorial Basics: Beginner Tips for Complementary colors.
My Twitch chat asked for some tips and I was happy to help, come join the streams Monday 9pm UK time for any art tips!
Since I use blue a lot in my art, I will use yellow/orange/gold highlights to create contrast with complementary colors.
Rule is:
Cool shadows? do warm highlights.
Warm shadows? do cool highlights.
Generally I've memorized the colour wheel but always use it as ref, it doesn't need to be the EXACT opposite, be creative!
