A female pharmacist who, while intoxicated, caused a fatal accident and rammed the car of her colleague, a medical student, has appeared in court. The tragedy occurred in early May at a junction on Moskovskoe Highway. Regina Kolganova failed to yield as required and, without slowing down, drove into the roundabout. She crashed into a car, killing 25-year-old Andrei Nikitin and seriously injuring his friend. An initial test revealed the presence of drugs and alcohol in the woman, who worked as a pharmacist at the pharmacy. By the start of the trial, only the charge of drunk driving remained.
