Last April 26, Ninotchka Rosca paid tribute to Nick Joaquin at the Philippine Book Festivall. It was a heartfelt tribute to her mentor and fellow #AnvilAuthor (who also wrote about her award-winning novel, "State of War").
For Ninotchka, Nick was "a powerful warlock who changed the riverrun of her life with one sentence." Nick remains vividly alive today in his beloved books and readers.
