Just go ahead and do it!

Important note.
My colleagues rightly pointed out that simply creating a Code 128 font isn't enough for a scanner to read the barcode.
I naturally suspected something was fishy and checked it out.

An inspection and further analysis confirmed that almost everything was fishy.

As it turns out, a barcode isn't just a barcode.

In addition to the information it encodes, it also needs a start character, a control key, and a closing character.

Plus, not all fonts have the required character set.

All the manuals either lead to generating some kind of images using the hedgehog method, or are paid and also produce images.

There was a moment of weakness and the thought of "just giving up," but no. This post gave me strength: https://blogs.klerk.ru/users/1911762/...
I was helped by a font taken from here: https://ru.fonts2u.com/code-128.%D1%8...

And after 1,000 swear words, 10 cups of coffee, and 12 hours, I finally managed to defeat this terrifying dragon.
The function took only 8 lines of code.

I'll be back with an analysis of this method a little later.
In the meantime, you can solve this puzzle yourself.
It's interesting. ;-)
