Happy Days Are Here Again
The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra with vocalists Danielle Carson, Julia Shore and musical director Michael Law perform 'Happy Days Are Here Again' (1929), which became the campaign song for Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1932 presidential campaign. From a Pebble Mill programme broadcast 'live' in 1994. There's some introductory spiel by Alan Titchmarsh and a clip from Absolutely Fabulous, and the song starts at about 3:30.
Note the wonderful vintage BBC microphone! I remember that it was handled with great care by the technicians.
