alexis and jason first met in new orleans. it didn’t take long for these two to know they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. charleston south carolina seemed like the perfect spot to bring all their friends and family to celebrate this momentous occasion. alexis and jason held their wedding at middleton place, a national historic landmark and home to america’s oldest landscaped gardens. with a wedding ceremony in the octagonal garden, cocktails in the stable yard and a reception in the pavilion they utilized each unique space middleton has to offer. alexis arrived in horse and carriage to walk down the aisle to meet jason under a large oak tree. the cocktail hour in the stable yard featured plaid linens with umbrella tables, and of course the horses came out for a visit. the reception took place both inside and out the pavilion, and was stunning thanks to engaging events. after dinner, the diggity doughnuts truck and paolos gelato cart showed up on the scene with tasty treats. soon after, the glow sticks and gold hats made their way on to the dance floor. it was certainly a night to remember.
