let’s head back to the heart of downtown charleston and upper king street to one of the top 10 best wedding venues in charleston south carolina, the william aiken house. this stunning historic 1810 mansion has so much to offer. the william aiken house features a gorgeous drawing room with beautiful light to photograph you getting ready and portraits before the ceremony. it is literally one of our favorite indoor spaces to take photos. the open-air piazzas overlook the garden and provide the option for a birds-eye view to gaze out upon the lush gardens. the option for a seated dinner inside the formal dining rooms showcasing antiques and artwork is reason enough to book this incredible space, not to mention the delectable food by patrick properties hospitality group. outside there is a two-century-old magnolia tree that is simply breathtaking. a long walk-way provides the perfect opportunity for a grand entrance on to the dance floor. since the william aiken house is located on upper king street it is super convenient to keep the party going afterward at a bar downtown. how could we forget? you can announce your wedding day on the american theater marquee right next door. william aiken house is intimate yet spacious and you get to celebrate your wedding right in the heart of charleston sc.
