Due to a blessing from the luck gods I now have a fully masterworked Necrochasm after obtaining a whole lot of essence of the oversoul. And now able to test this weapon out to its fullest.
The good news is it built correctly it slaps, you have to be pinpoint accurate with it. But if you are then you're heavily rewarded for doing so. Chaining cursed thrall explosions is made easy with maxed stability, maxed aim assist and with the catalyst maxed reload. Its also very easy to maintain a 900rpm firing mode with the catalyst equipped.
Exotics to boost Necrochasms potency:
Necrotic Grips - Boosts the lingering poison damage from the cursed thrall explosions and allows it to spread to additional targets should the original ones be defeated. Melee attacks also apply this poison, defeating poisoned targets with Necrochasm will cause them to instantly explode.
Chromatic Fire - Adds an additional explosion per precision final blow, with an affect depending on the subclass. The best are arc for blinding or stasis for slow.
Osmiomancy Gauntlets - Not for the exotic themselves but for their ability to repeatedly use freezing abilities. Frozen targets will take 50% extra damage from Necrochasm if the fragment Whisper of Rending.
