Welcome to my channel! If you are new here, my name is Andrea (my friends call me Dre). I am an ICU Nurse, a mom & I love making YouTube videos!
In this fake cake tutorial I will giving you a step by step tutorial on how to make a beautiful fake pastel summer cake! Why make a faux cake? The fake cake prop lasts forever & I don't have to worry about counting any calories! Every year I make fake cupcakes that look real for my candy land themed Christmas tree & this year I wanted to try making a fake cake that looks real to display for spring & summer.
I hope you get some inspiration to try to make this easy DIY fake cake. I would love to hear what you think about this project! Also, since making this video I have made several fake cakes & I recommend using white spackling to frost the entire cake with instead of caulking. The caulking is much harder to smooth out and work with - the spackling does a great job!

I recommend buying 2-3 (4oz packages) for this project. *A tip to save money is to purchase the white color model magic and paint the macroons in a color of your choice after they dry. The colored model magic is more expensive and the same effect can be created by simply painting them.
