•Let's divide the whole video, into three parts :
•PART 1: DIGGING TO THE CORE.
•Earth's centre is about 6000 km deep.
•The world's most powerful nuclear weapon till now, is Tsar bomba.
•The dimensions of Tsar bomba is about, 8 meters long and 2 meters in diameter.
•So, if we decided to use this for our experiment, then we have to dig up about 80 million cubic meters of earth's crust.
•Which is equal to 242 times the volume of concrete, required to build Burj Khalifa.
•Digging a hole this deep is not an easy task.
•Imagine, we are using a vertical boring machine for our digging operation.
•Once we reach a particular depth, ground stops behaving as solid, and starts to act as thin mud.
•This increases the pressure on the walls of our hole. Basically, earth is trying to shut the hole.
•But let's consider we made the hypothetical machine, which can dig a hole this deep.
•Still there is a problem. The Heat..
•PART 2: PLACING THE NUKE.
•As mentioned before, the heat is the main problem for our experiment.
•Scientists have determined that the temperature near the Earth's centre, is about 6000 degrees Celsius, having 364 gigapascal of pressure.
•The general mechanism for the most of nuclear bomb, is that The explosives compress nuclear material, causing fission; the fission releases massive amounts of energy in the form of X-rays, which create the high temperature and pressure needed to ignite fusion.
•But with this much pressure, our Tsar bomba will explode before reaching to the centre.
•So let's consider again, that we have overcome all the problems and successfully placed the Tsar bomba.
•OK, all set. We are ready to press the button
•PART 3: NUKING THE NUKE.
•Explosion in 3..2..1.
•Well, nothing happened.
•The average energy released by Tsar bomba is about 50 megatons, while earth's core produces much much much more energy than this. [....Display 860420650095612 megatons...]
•The core's own energy will suppress the energy from Tsar bomba.
•That means even if our bomb detonates, it will cause nearly zero impact on earth's crust.
So seat back and relax, nothing is gonna change on the earth by nuking it's core.
Still if you aren't satisfied with this ending, then we need to think about bigger explosions, an anti...matter..... bomb..
