In this video, we are going to learn how to create a Google Calendar Event when a record is created or updated in Salesforce using n8n. If you haven't heard of n8n, it is a product very similar to Zapier used for automating workflows but it is cheaper, open source and has some interesting features. We did another video showing this same scenario using Zapier, see the link to the video below. We will be comparing the two platforms in a future video to figure out which application is best for integrating Salesforce to external applications.
You will learn how to do the following:
Create two different workflows in n8n that will create and update Google Calendar Events when a Salesforce custom object record is created or updated to meet certain criteria.
How to use various nodes in n8n: Webhook from Salesforce, Respond to Webhook, Switch, If, Create/Update/Delete Google Calendar Event and Update Salesforce custom object record
