Here is step-by-step guide to Facebook pixel installation, how to create website custom audience and lookalike audience.
We start by creating a new pixel via Facebook business manager and then install it using Google Tag Manager. You can perform a manual installation by embedding the code within the head tag. You can use Facebook pixel helper chrome extension to verify if the pixels are firing properly on your website. Once the pixel is installed we then create a new custom audience under the Audiences tab. You simply select the website visitors option and then add a rule to include all people visiting your website in the past 30 / 60 or however many days you want.
You can then use the newly created website custom audience to create a lookalike audience.
