Biography Summary of Singer Tung Duong
Tung Duong, real name Nguyen Tung Duong, (born September 18, 1983 in Bac Ninh) is a Vietnamese singer. He became known from the Sao Mai Rendezvous competition in 2004, where he won the award chosen by the judging panel. The songs he performed in the competition, mostly contemporary folk compositions by Le Minh Son, were included in his debut album, "Chay Tron" (2004). After temporarily stopping singing Le Minh Son's music, Tung Duong experimented with compositions by other songwriters such as Ngoc Dai, Nhu Huy, Giang Son, Luu Ha An..., and participated in two programs: "Vong Nguyet" by musician Quoc Trung and "Gio Binh Minh" by Do Bao and Nhat Ly. Continuing his collaboration with Do Bao, Tung Duong released his second album, "Nhung O Mau Khoi Lap Phuong" (2007), an album with New Age harmonies that won the "Album of the Year" award. At the 2007 Dedication Awards, Tung Duong's third album, "Li ti" (2010), a blend of electronic music with symphonic undertones, was produced in collaboration with musician Nguyen Cong Phuong Nam and a team in Germany. This earned him two awards: "Singer of the Year" and "Album of the Year" at the 2010 Dedication Awards. He also achieved success on the Vietnamese Song program with his high-ranking songs, notably the two winning songs in 2007 ("Con Co") and 2009 ("Dong Ho Treo Tuong"). His recent joint performances with Thanh Lam, Le Cat Trong Ly, and Nguyen Le have also garnered significant media and public attention.
