Export WebGL without compression in Unity 2020.1+
This shows you how to disable gzip for WebGL builds in Unity 2020.1 or later. Why? Some hosting services like https://simmer.io do their own compression, and the built-in unity compression messes it up.
This is a new default in Unity 2020, and many web servers don't handle it correctly out of the box. So if you're having trouble uploading or sharing your game to certain websites including simmer.io, itch.io or gamejolt.io, you might want to consider removing compression from your build.
