Becoming a Space Systems Chief Engineer, or just thinking like one.

Really important. The responsibilities and tasks that you under are vast.

It's everything, not anything or just a thing.

Be prepared to have a working, hardworking knowledge of all the systems involved, of all the duties that you need to perform, ranging from knowing the system's features, plans, who's the customer, when am I delivering it, what are the deadlines, have very clear-cut proposals that meet high standards coming from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration or other organizations like the DoD.

You'll need to assess situations really quickly and then take a decision based on that intrinsic value that you know it will happen.

But as any job, your passion is key and your dedication so that you can manage people and they can trust you and you can trust them.

If not one yet, think like one. Be a thinker and a doer and surely you'll bring that Space Systems Engineering mindset.

It's really rewarding. I think that it challenges the status quo because you don't fit one place. You go for the whole place. It provides great satisfaction.

PS: I’m here to help. Enjoy.
