Disguised as a man to join his crew, her true identity was an open secret among her fellow pirates. With fellow female pirate Mary Read by her side, Anne became a formidable fighter on the high seas, plundering ships and striking fear into her enemies. Her fierce temper and unmatched combat skills made her a legend.
In 1720, Rackham's crew was captured by the British Navy. While most met their fate at the gallows, Anne and Mary claimed to be pregnant, delaying their execution. Mary died in prison, but Anne's fate remains uncertain, her legacy enduring as a symbol of courage and defiance.
