Launch Base Zone Reimagined - DeBassable
This is my take on what Launch Base Zone from Sonic 3 sounds like in Sonic Mania. This is also my first remix on my channel and ever! I felt like I needed to learn from the source material that really inspired me to make Sonic-like compositions. I almost wanted to call this song Launch Base Zone Act 3.
In this remix, almost every melodic or harmonic instrument is made from scratch; the only exceptions are a few guitar samples from a SoundFont library. I think that using synthesizers with additive and FM synthesis was a great way to get the feel of the old-school gaming sound synthesis.
And as with all of my compositions previously posted on this channel, this was made in LMMS and Audacity: some incredible free, cross-platform DAW software.
