Sep 22, 2024. It’s been an agonizing week. I ran out of cash completely. I had been counting on multiple income streams—a money transfer from Hong Kong, my profit shares from a new investment, and even a repayment from a friend I lent money to. But then, one morning, I woke up and realized I only had a few dollars left—enough to survive for maybe 2 or 3 days. I couldn’t even afford to go out for dinner with a good friend.
