schwerin, germany

we took the train to schwerin. the weather wasn't cooperating but we had to make the best of it. it's both our first time in this city and we're actually amazed especially when we spotted the "schloss schwerin" (schwerin castle) from afar. we went directly to the schloss from hauptbahnhof (main train station). the schloss is on an island and is surrounded by lake schwerin. visitors have to pay €8,50 entrance fee to go inside the museum. then we went to the garden. i think it'd be more stunning to go here in summer or fall. we then checked in to our hotel which was a walking distance away from the castle and the city center. we had late dinner at miranda's bbq. we explored the altstadt (old town)the next day and found a coffee shop. we had coffee and cake before we headed back to the train station where we took a bus (flixbus) to frankfurt main train station. then we took the train.
this trip was actually b's surprise. :)
