Naga Kanya
This dance is a pranam to the deity Naga Kanya. She is a sacred serpent deity in both Nepal and India. She is depicted as half-woman, half-cobra. Naga Kanya is a bringer of treasures from the deep, not merely material wealth but the ultimate treasure wisdom.
In this salutation to Naga Kanya I make offerings of incense and prayers to the sacred waters of the earth. In gratitude and humility I offer this sacred dance with love for the nagas of the water and air and ask for their blessings in purifying the waters and bringing forth health and good fortune for those who witness this pranam.
This piece was filmed during the Full Moon Eclipse just before the Fall Equinox.
