The Zomei ND1000 filter is one of the more affordable 10 stop ND filters around. I test the filter to see where it's strengths and weaker points lie. I look at the colour balance shift, resolution, vignetting and other important areas.
At 10 stops the ND filter is useful for getting very slow shutter speeds even in bright light conditions, though I would recommend a 3/4 stop filter for general use, this type of filter can be handy to have for creating long shutter speed effects.
